Following a discussion at our June Parish Council meeting, we have made the decision to close the public toilets in the village with immediate effect, pending feedback from Forest of Dean District Council regarding refurbishment and repairs.
Although Drybrook Parish Council have been cleaning and opening the toilets over the last few years, they actually belong to the District Council and it is their responsibility to maintain them.
The decision to close them now was made primarily because there is no Legionella risk assessment or testing regime currently in place, but also due to safety concerns over the poor condition of the toilets and storage areas due to the leaking roof.
