It is with great sadness that we must announce the death of Councillor Mike Garland

Michael retired to the Forest of Dean in 2003 with his beloved wife Kathy after a successful career as a Quantity Surveyor in London.

He has been an active member of the Parish Council since 2008 serving as Chair for 4 years and also as Snow Warden up until last year. Mike was a valuable member of the Parish Council, supporting many causes and projects across Parish during his tenure.  He was also a member of the Drybrook Event Group contributing greatly to at all the events held since its conception in 2023.

Mike supported Kathys strong Christian beliefs and was a church warden at Holy Trinity church for many years retiring in September 2024. During that time, both he and Kathy organised and ran multiple lunches and events held at the Holy Trinity Church school room.
